1. Application Steps
Below, you will find details about the UWC Brazil selection process, with applications due in 2025, for the selection for places in the UWC residential program:
- Online Application and Preliminary Review
- To apply for the current selection process, you must complete all application steps and procedures. All applications will be reviewed.
- Candidates whose applications are selected in a preliminary review will be invited to take the online test on a specific date and time, according to the official schedule.

- Online Test and Profile Review
- The test content primarily covers the elementary school curriculum, as well as concepts on contemporary social, economic, political, and cultural issues. The tests are hosted online, according to the date and time indicated in the current schedule, in accordance with Brasília time.
- Candidates who perform best in the objective test will have their performance on the personal presentation forms evaluated and may be invited to participate in interviews, as per the schedule.
- The test content primarily covers the elementary school curriculum, as well as concepts on contemporary social, economic, political, and cultural issues. The tests are hosted online, according to the date and time indicated in the current schedule, in accordance with Brasília time.
- Online Interviews
- Invited candidates participate in a videoconference interview with alumni. Specific instructions are provided individually to eligible candidates. During these interviews, interviewers seek to deepen their understanding of each student’s background.
- Selection Day
- Candidates who perform best in the interviews will participate in a Selection Day. During an immersive weekend, the National Committee will further evaluate the candidates through group dynamics. Students also take a test similar to the first exam.
- This stage will be held in person in the state of São Paulo. UWC Brazil provides accommodation and meals during this stage. Travel to São Paulo and to a meeting point determined by UWC Brazil is the responsibility of each candidate and their guardians. Specific details will be provided in the specific announcement.
Details and partial results for each stage can be communicated to candidates via email or through the application management tool, according to the schedule. Each edition of the selection process is governed by the respective participation terms.
